As of Thursday, the number of Turks participating in the voting process in the general and presidential elections abroad and at border crossings exceeded 1,165,000.
According to information from the Turkish Supreme Elections Committee, the number of Turks participating in voting abroad and at border crossings amounted to 1,165,969 voters.
It explained that one million and 83 thousand and 684 voters cast their votes in ballot boxes set up by Turkish representations outside the country.

It added that 82,285 voters participated and cast their votes in ballot boxes set up by the Turkish authorities at the customs gates.
On April 27, the voting process began in the presidential and legislative elections for Turks residing abroad and at border crossings.
The voting process for Turks who have registered their places of residence outside the country continues until May 9, while the voting process continues at border crossings and airports until May 14.
While voters across the country go to the polls on May 14 to elect their candidates.
The number of those eligible for presidential and parliamentary elections is 64,113,941, according to the Supreme Elections Committee.
