The marchers chanted slogans against the head of the transitional sovereignty council, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, against the backdrop of the normalization agreement with Israel by “Oh, proof, agent, do not normalize with the entity.”

Besides Sudan, three other Arab countries, namely the UAE, Bahrain and Morocco, normalized their relations with Israel during the past year under American auspices in exchange for Palestinian rejection.

In Yemen, Friday sermons focused on the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the rest of the occupied Palestinian territories.

The preachers condemned the “international, Arab and Islamic silence” about what is happening in Al-Aqsa Mosque and Gaza.

They called for “opening the borders to the nation’s youth, so that their brothers in Palestine participate in defending Al-Aqsa and its sanctities.”

In the governorates of Al Dhale’e and Abyan, hundreds of people participated in various protest rallies denouncing the Israeli aggression, and waving Palestinian flags.

For his part, Houthi spokesman Muhammad Abd al-Salam said: “We congratulate the Palestinian people and their valiant resistance to victory in the Battle of the Sword of Jerusalem (Hamas military operation).”

Abd al-Salam added in statements carried by the group’s Al-Masirah TV.

“The battle of the Sword of Jerusalem shook the guardian of the walls (Israel’s military operation), and made a great transformation in the interest of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa.”
