The Turkish Maarif Endowment opened the new academic year on Sunday at its school in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum.

The Waqf celebrated the reception of its new students for the academic year 2022-2023 in the presence of the Turkish Ambassador to Sudan, Ismail Chubanoglu.
The “Al Maaref” Endowment School is witnessing a high turnout of students to enroll in it, thanks to the excellence of its educational services.
In the current academic year, the number of male and female students exceeded 2000 at all academic levels, while it was 1805 in the last academic year.
In 2016, Turkey established the “Al Maaref” Endowment to run schools outside the country, including schools that were linked to the “Gülen” terrorist organization, in addition to establishing new schools and educational centers in various countries of the world.

The endowment organizes educational, cultural and social activities in those countries to raise the level of quality of education and strengthen relations with Turkey.
