The average fullness of dams feeding Istanbul decreased by 1.7 percent over the past week, to reach 40.33 percent.

The Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ) said in a statement on Wednesday that the amount of water in dams and lakes that supply the city amounted to 350,320,000 cubic meters.

It added that the amount of water in the dams decreased in the past day by two million and 350 thousand cubic meters.

It stated that these rates are the lowest compared to the same period of 9 previous years.

It pointed out that the maximum storage volume of dams and lakes in Istanbul is 868 million and 683 thousand cubic meters.
