On Sunday, the Turkish city of Istanbul witnessed a demonstration condemning the killing of the Iranian young woman, Mahsa Amini, while she was arrested in Tehran last month, for not “abiding by the rules of the veil.”

A number of protesters, including Iranians, participated in the demonstration and held a banner reading “Freedom for women everywhere.”
The demonstrators chanted slogans demanding freedom for women and against Iranian practices towards women.
It should be noted that the 22-year-old woman, “Amini”, died after she was arrested by the “Moral Police” in the capital, Tehran, on September 13.
Following the burial of the young woman on September 17, demonstrations erupted in many Iranian cities.

According to Iranian state television, 41 people were killed in clashes between police and protesters.
