Increasing the exports of the mining industry in Turkey by 70%

Exports of mineral products increased by 69.6% in April compared to the same period last year, to reach 558 million and 471 thousand dollars.

According to information gathered from the data of the Turkish Exporters Association (TIM), Turkey’s exports in April increased by 109 percent.

This compared to the same month of the previous year, when it amounted to 18 billion $ 776 million.

While the value of mining products amounted to 558,471 million dollars, one thousand dollars were exported to 155 countries in the same period.

While the sector’s exports reached 4 billion and 778 million dollars in the past twelve months.

Total exports increased by 40.2 percent in the first four months compared to the same period of the previous year, to reach one billion, 772 million and 905 thousand dollars.

The share of mining product exports in Turkey’s total exports was 3 percent in April.

Last month, Istanbul achieved 119 million and 860 thousand dollars of the total exports of mining products from 72 Turkish cities.

This figure corresponds to 21 percent of the sector’s total exports.

After Istanbul, the other cities with the highest exports of mining products were Ankara of $ 110 million and $ 209 thousand dollars.

Lazig with $ 54 million and 487 thousand dollars, Kastamonu with 30 million dollars and 782 thousand dollars, Antalya with 28 million and 108 thousand dollars, and Rez with 23 million and 477 thousand dollars.

Most of the exports are to China

The country in which the mining products industry was exported last month was registered as China, as China exported 167 million and 220 thousand dollars in April.

It was followed by the United States of America with 42 million and 770 thousand dollars, and Sweden with 40 million and 34 thousand dollars.

And then Indonesia with 24 million and 922 thousand dollars, and Spain with 23 million and 163 thousand dollars.

Bulgaria with 22 million and 364 thousand dollars, and Italy with 19 million and 329 thousand dollars.

In view of the change in the volume of exports from industry by country, the highest increase in exports on a quantitative basis was recorded in China with 59 million 422 thousand dollars.

In the sub-items of the mining products sector, mineral ores made the largest contribution to the sector’s exports during the month of April with 214 million and 175 thousand dollars.

This was followed by products of marble, limestone, onyx, granite and other natural mining products suitable for sculpture and construction.

It is estimated at 173 million and 608 thousand dollars, mineral materials at 98 million and 471 thousand dollars, and non-metallic products at 70 million and 170 thousand dollars.

In April, 1.680,000 dollars of mineral fuels were exported, and 345,000 dollars of rough, chopped or roughly chopped granite products.
