The United Nations World Tourism Organization included the village of Bergi, western Turkey, in the list of the best tourist villages around the world for the year 2022.

The list included 32 villages from 12 countries, including the village of Birgi, located in the Odmish district of Izmir state, western Turkey.

The organization explained that the selection of villages was carried out by an independent advisory board of 20 members.
And she added that her prizes will be given to the villages on the list through a ceremony in the Saudi city of Al-Ula on February 27-28, 2023.
It also indicated that it had chosen 20 villages for its development program, including two villages in Turkey: Anitli in the Midyat district of Mardin and Juma Lee Kazak located in the Yildirim district of Bursa state.
