The number of foreign tourists coming to Istanbul in the first five months of this year increased by 19 percent compared to the same period last year.
The number of foreign tourists who visited the Turkish state from January to the end of last May reached 6 million, 276 thousand and 481 tourists.

Istanbul had received 5 million, 284 thousand and 714 foreign tourists in the first five months of the year 2022, according to the data of the state’s Directorate of Culture and Tourism.
And the state received one million and 505 thousand and 948 foreign tourists in May, and the Russian tourists came to the fore with 175 thousand and 466 people, followed by the Germans with about 117 thousand and the Americans with 83 thousand.
