European shares rise after the peace between Russia and Ukraine

European shares rose during early trading on Tuesday, amid optimism from the start of a new round of peace talks between Russia and Ukraine.

On Tuesday morning, the Russian and Ukrainian delegations began their talks at the Presidential Dolmabahce Palace in Istanbul, immediately after a speech by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

By the time (08:50 GMT), the benchmark Stoxx 600 index of European shares rose 1.1 percent to the level of 459.14 points.

The German “DAX” index rose 165.9 points, or 1.15 percent, to record 14,582 points, and the British FTSE 100 index rose 0.84 percent, to record 7,535 points.

The French CAC index rose 1.66% to 6,698 points, and the Italian “FTSE MPI” index rose 1.42% to 25,065 points.
