Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday commemorated the two martyrs, Ern Bulbul and Officer Ferhat Gedik, who were martyred in an ambush set up by PKK terrorists in Macka district in the northeastern state of Trabzon on August 11, 2017.

Erdogan said in a tweet: “On the fifth anniversary of their martyrdom, I remember the greatness of our son, Arn, and the gendarmerie officer, Ferhat Gedik, who were brutally murdered by the PKK terrorist organization.”
He added, “We will continue our struggle against terrorism with the strength that we derive from our brave martyrs confronting the murderers with blood on their hands.”
