Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has expressed his condolences to his Greek counterpart Katrina Sakellaropoulou and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis for the victims of the train collision.
This came in a telegram of condolence sent by President Erdogan on Wednesday, according to a statement issued by the Turkish Presidency Communications Department.
Erdogan expressed his condolences and deep sorrow over the accident, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.

On Wednesday morning, 36 people were killed and dozens of others were injured when two trains collided, one for passengers and the other for goods, in Tempe, north of Larissa.
The train was on its way from the capital, Athens, to Thessaloniki, with 250 passengers on board, according to media reports.
