In the US state of Texas, the law on carrying unlicensed guns came into effect.

Despite frequent shootings across the United States, Texas recently added the Unlicensed Carrying of Guns Act to a series of pro-gun laws.

By law, Texans 21 years of age or older will be able to carry their guns openly without a license and training.

On the other hand, the controversial law has raised concerns that it will make it more difficult for law enforcement agencies to protect the public from gun violence.

Dallas Police Chief Eddie Garcia said in a statement that people who openly carry weapons will make it difficult for police to distinguish between a person who committed a crime and an innocent person.
