The Turkish Interior Ministry announced on Tuesday the launch of a security operation in Diyarbakir province targeting terrorist organizations and drug trafficking.

She added in a statement that Operation “Aran Siege – 25” involved 52 units, totaling 820 members, from various security, intelligence and military units.
The statement indicated that the security authorities have identified 50 points to carry out the operation in the southeastern state of the country.
So far, the Turkish authorities have seized large quantities of plants and narcotics as part of the aforementioned operation.

The statement stressed the continuation of efforts to combat terrorism and drug trafficking inside the country, with the support and backing of the people.
