Coast Guard rescues 25 migrants in western Turkey

On Friday, Turkish Coast Guard forces rescued 25 migrants who were forcibly returned by Greece to Turkish territorial waters.

The Turkish Coast Guard Command said in a statement that its forces had received a report from a group of irregular migrants inside a rubber boat off the coast of the “Gosh Adasi” area in the western state of Aydin.

The statement added that the Turkish coast guard rescued 25 migrants on the boat after Greece forcibly returned them to Turkish waters.

He indicated that the migrants were transferred to the Immigration Department in Aydin to complete the legal procedures against them.
