Change for travelers who cannot take a PCR test within Turkey

From tomorrow, a PCR test will be required of unvaccinated passengers on domestic flights.

Because of this decision, Turkish Airlines announced that passengers who were unable to obtain a PCR test despite purchasing a ticket were given the right to change their tickets for free.

As part of the coronavirus measures, PCR tests will be required from passengers who do not have a coronavirus vaccine on domestic flights from tomorrow.

Because of this decision, Turkish Airlines (THY) announced that passengers were unable to obtain a PCR test.

Despite the purchase of a ticket, those who purchased their tickets before August 20 were granted the right to change their tickets for free.

In the announcement made by THY on the matter, it was stated as follows:

“As a result of the decision taken by the official authorities, which will become effective as of September 6, 2021.

A PCR test will be requested from our passengers who have not been vaccinated on domestic flights or who have not contracted coronavirus disease in the last 180 days.

Passengers who will not be able to take a PCR test and who are issued tickets before August 20, 2021, are entitled to free change.

Ticket changes can be made by Turkish Airlines sales offices, the agencies from which the ticket was purchased, and the Turkish Airlines call center.
