The spokesman for the Turkish ruling Justice and Development Party, Omer Celik, strongly condemned the attack on the Consulate General of his country in the city of Mosul in northern Iraq.

Celik said in a series of tweets he posted on his Twitter account on Wednesday, “We strongly condemn the attack on our consulate in Mosul. The terrorist hotbeds that targeted Turkey will certainly pay the price.”
“The Iraqi authorities must arrest the perpetrators of the attack as soon as possible and bring them to justice,” he added.
And he indicated that targeting Turkey as a result of the planned provocations “will only benefit the hotbeds of terrorism.”
He stressed that “terror hotspots” that are trying to test Turkey’s strength will face a firm response.
He continued, “We must increase the struggle against these hotbeds of terrorism with brotherly Iraq.”

He stressed that Turkey possesses a firm will in its war on terrorism, which enjoys indisputable legitimacy.
On Wednesday morning, the Turkish consulate was attacked in Mosul, northern Iraq.
