This came in a telephone conversation with the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Vladimir Norov, on Monday, according to information from the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
Çavuşoğlu reiterated his full confidence in the ability of the government and people of Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to resolve this issue in an atmosphere of wisdom and peace.

And on Saturday, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev declared a state of emergency in the autonomous republic of Karakalkistan (Karkalpakstan) in the west of the country for a month, against the background of protests in the region following a controversy over its constitutional status.
