Cavusoglu criticizes the West’s contradictory positions

The website of the Turkish newspaper Daily Sabah wrote: Criticizing the silence of the West over the killing of 13 Turkish civilians in northern Iraq at the hands of the terrorist PKK, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu wrote on his Twitter account: “The West still has a contradictory position on the issue of terrorism.” The prevailing opinion in the West that your terrorists are bad and your terrorists are good continues.”

Five hours after the Turkish foreign minister’s tweet, the US State Department sent a message of condolence over the killing of 13 Turkish citizens.

The Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar told reporters about the operation of the Turkish armed forces in the Gara region in northern Iraq, that the bodies of 13 Turkish citizens were killed in a cave operation in the Gara region by the PKK forces.

One of them was shot in the chest, 12 others were shot in the head.

Akar pointed out that all the terrorists who captured and then killed their Turkish citizens were killed, adding that Operation Eagle 2, which began on February 10 with the aim of clearing the Gara region in northern Iraq of PKK terrorists, has been eliminated.

In the first stage of the operation, 50 PKK sites in the area were targeted and destroyed.

The Turkish Defense Minister said that 50 members of the terrorist organization PKK were killed in the operation: “Unfortunately, three of our soldiers were killed and three others were wounded in the operation.”
