On Monday, Afghan security sources reported that 3 civilians were killed and 6 others were injured when an explosive device detonated in Helmand Province, southern Afghanistan.

The local Tolo News channel quoted (unnamed) sources as saying that the accident occurred this morning when an explosive device planted on the side of a road exploded in a civilian car in the Bolan area of Lashkargah city.
The sources indicated that all the victims were from one family and that a woman and children were among them, who were coming from one of the districts of Lashkargah.
She added that the wounded were taken to a nearby hospital in the city, while the security authorities did not immediately comment on the incident.
Also, no party claimed responsibility for the accident until 08:35 (GMT).
