A UN delegation condemns the assassinate the Iraqi Prime Minister

The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq condemned the attempt to assassinate the home of Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi in the capital, Baghdad, by a drone.

In a statement issued by the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), he expressed his happiness that Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi escaped the attack unhurt.

“Terror, violence, and illegal acts must not be allowed to destabilize Iraq and impede the democratic process,” the statement said.

The United Nations mission urged all parties in Iraq to assume responsibility and engage in dialogue in order to stop the escalation.

It was announced that the home of Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi was attacked by an armed drone (SİHA) and that Kazemi escaped unhurt.

In a statement issued by the Iraqi government’s Security Square Network, it was reported that Al-Kazemi’s house in Baghdad’s Green Zone was attacked.
