On Monday, the Turkish Interior Ministry announced the surrender of a PKK terrorist to the security forces, after efforts to persuade him.

The ministry said in a statement that the terrorist defected from the ranks of the organization, and surrendered himself to the security forces as a result of the persuasion efforts carried out by the security directorate teams and the gendarmerie command.
It explained that the terrorist had joined the “PKK” in 2008, and had recently participated in the organization’s activities in Iraq.
It should be noted that the number of terrorists who surrendered to the security forces through persuasion since the beginning of this year has risen to 144.
