A new circular from internal affairs: restricting martyrdom visits

The families of the martyrs were exempted from the curfew for martyrdom visits on the first days of Eid and Ramadan.

The Ministry of Interior has sent a circular on “Visits by the families of the martyrs from the cemetery” to 81 regional governorates.

The publication emphasized that the primary responsibility for being a state is to respond to the justified demands of the families of the martyrs, taking into account the measures to combat the epidemic, and to ensure that they meet their martyrs in peace.

Accordingly, the families of the martyrs will be exempt from the curfew in terms of martyrdom visits on the first day on the eve of Eid al-Fitr.

Before the festival, maintenance / repair and cleaning works for all martyrs’ graves will be completed by the governorates / sub-districts in coordination with the relevant institutions.

A vehicle can be provided, and accompanying personnel will be appointed

The families of the martyrs will be able to visit the cemetery at any time on the specified days, in accordance with their desires and capabilities.

With the coordination of the governors and the district governors, the provincial / district police directorates or gendarmerie commanders will contact the families of the martyrs in their governorates / districts in advance.

And when necessary, transport vehicles and escorts will be allocated to the families of the martyrs.

Coordination between religious workers will be provided

The necessary coordination is made with the offices of the provincial mufti, and it will be provided by the provinces and districts for prayers to be recited by religious officials upon martyrdom.

Governors and law enforcement units will demonstrate the sensitivity necessary for martyrdom visits to be carried out in peace.
