On Saturday, it was said that right-wing groups organized demonstrations in several US states, especially Washington.

This is in protest against the authorities’ detention of a number of citizens involved in the storming of the Congress building on January 6, 2021.

The demonstrators carried banners reading “Guantanamo Bay killers, release the American protesters,” and “We demand justice in the January 6 incident.”

Demonstrators say that those arrested in connection with the events of January 6 were subjected to ill-treatment in very poor conditions of detention.

The police forces took strict security measures to secure the demonstration and prevent any riots.

In a dangerous precedent in American political life, Washington witnessed confrontations between security forces and protesters over former US President Donald Trump’s loss of the elections.

As a result, the Congress building was stormed, killing 5 people, including a police officer, and arresting 52 others.
