The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia announced that the Russian diplomat has been classified as “persona non grata”.
In a written statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia, it was confirmed that a diplomat from the Russian embassy in Skopje had been declared “persona non grata” in accordance with Article 9 of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.

In the statement that the Russian ambassador was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on May 14, the statement was used.
“On this occasion, a note was delivered to him, and the aforementioned diplomat was asked to leave the territory of North Macedonia within 7 years.”
North Macedonia expelled a Russian diplomat after poisoning Russian diplomat and double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia in England in 2018.
