In Russia, the tech giant Apple was fined $12 million for violating antitrust laws.

Where the Russian Federal Antitrust Service imposed a fine of 12 million and 88 thousand dollars on the American technology giant Apple.

That is approximately 99 million Turkish liras for violating Russian antitrust laws.

In the statement made, it was emphasized that Apple provides a competitive advantage for its products in distributing mobile applications through the iOS operating system.

Apple also declared the decision in question unacceptable, and will appeal against it.

Global cybersecurity company Kaspersky Lab also applied to the Russian Federal Antitrust Service in August 2020.

Accusing Apple of abusing its position in the mobile app market.
