Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said that Israel continues to practice “ethnic cleansing in every sense of the word and commit war crimes daily” in the Gaza Strip.

This came in a joint press conference on Tuesday with his Czech counterpart, Jan Lipavski, in the capital, Ankara.

Fidan explained that “the human tragedy in Gaza continues” and that Turkey “has not and will not remain silent about Israel’s continued pursuit of expanding its territory and stealing the lands of our Palestinian brothers.”

He added: “We will continue to raise our voice in international forums to end the oppression in Gaza, and we will mobilize all diplomatic means to do so.”

Fidan stressed that Ankara supports all initiatives aimed at a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and that the path to a solution is to implement the two-state solution.

He pointed out the increase in the number of countries that recognize the Palestinian state and that Turkey will work tirelessly in the coming period to increase this number.

Recently, Spain, Norway, Ireland, Slovenia, and Armenia announced their recognition of the State of Palestine, following the devastating Israeli war on the Gaza Strip since last October, and the escalation of Israeli restrictions on Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.

Since last October 7, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza with absolute American support, leaving about 124,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, in addition to thousands missing.

Israel continues its war despite two UN Security Council resolutions to stop it immediately, and orders from the International Court of Justice to end the invasion of the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip and take measures to prevent acts of “genocide” and improve the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
