Turkey is the sixth in Europe in the production of wind energy

Turkey ranked sixth in Europe in generating electric power from wind in 2022, with a total installed capacity of 11,969 megawatts.

A report by the “WindEurope” association working in the field of promoting the use of wind energy in Europe (based in Brussels) showed that Turkey used winds to generate 867 megawatts of electricity during 2022, bringing the total installed energy in Turkey to 11,969 megawatts.

According to the same report, Turkey rose to sixth place in generating electricity from wind, after Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, France and Sweden.

The report indicated that the total installed energy in Europe amounted to 254,788 megawatts in 2022.
