Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that his country is moving forward strongly towards achieving Turkey’s centenary, through the strides it has made in the field of science and technology.
This came in the coordination meeting to reach net zero emissions in 2053 “research, development and innovation” Thursday, which was held in Cankaya Palace in the capital, Ankara.
Erdogan made it clear that Turkey is directing its eyes to the 2053 vision, which we have begun to gradually set goals regarding green development booms that are closely related to our country and the world.

He stressed that Turkey aims to reach the summit in all fields, from politics, economy and society to technology.
He stated that Turkey has achieved good results in several areas, foremost of which are qualified research and development resources, energy technologies, medicine, biotechnology, and national innovation.
He continued, “Our success in the field of defense industries, which is the locomotive of science and technology, is the best proof of that.”
Regarding the Paris Climate Agreement, Erdogan said that all parties to it should adhere to their own programs to reach the set goals.
On October 6, 2021, the Paris Climate Agreement entered into force in Turkey, after it was ratified by Parliament.
With the entry into force of the climate agreement in Turkey, Ankara will form the legal environment necessary to restructure laws and policies in line with the agreement’s goal of limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius.
