Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov expressed his country’s solidarity with Turkey following the earthquake that struck Duzca province at dawn on Wednesday.

This came in a phone call to Turkish Vice President Fuad Oktay, during which he wished the injured a speedy recovery.
Asadov stressed that Azerbaijan stands in solidarity with Turkey in its aforementioned tragedy, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
In turn, Oktay expressed his thanks to Asadov on behalf of the Turkish people.
A 5.9-magnitude earthquake hit the state of Duzce at dawn on Wednesday, which was felt by residents of Istanbul and neighboring states.

According to the Turkish Emergency and Disaster Management “AFAD”, the earthquake occurred at 04:08 (01:08 GMT) in Gul Yaka district in Duzce, at a depth of 6.81 kilometers below the surface of the earth.
