Turkey earns $146 million from pistachio exports in 9 months

Turkey’s revenues from the export of pistachios during the first nine months of this year amounted to 146 million and 958 thousand US dollars.

According to information from the Southeast Anatolia Exporters Union, pistachio exports during the first nine months of this year increased by 12 percent compared to the same period last year.

The data added that Turkish pistachio exports during the mentioned period reached the markets of 100 countries, and the quantity amounted to 15,941 tons.

Italy ranked first among the countries importing Turkish pistachios with 31 million and 400 thousand dollars, followed by Germany with 22 million and 213 thousand dollars, and Kyrgyzstan with 13 million and 353 thousand dollars.
