Turkey’s defense industry exports reach new parts of the world

A director of one of the leading Turkish companies in the field of defense industries said on Wednesday that his country’s exports of the sector’s products are expanding to different parts of the world.

Melih Aktas, director of the Fora Group, explained that Turkish military products, which include tactical and medical operations materials, have reached 15 new countries and exceeded the planned targets.

Aktas added that his company displayed its products at the MSPO 2022 International Exhibition for Military Industries held in Poland with the aim of introducing them and increasing exports.

He stated that the demand for military products increased with the war in Ukraine and that the countries that bought his company’s products were Poland, Germany, Spain, Bulgaria and the United States.

Turkish defense industry companies went to display their products at MSPO 2022 in Poland, which is the largest military exhibition in Central and Eastern Europe.

The international exhibition will be held from 6 to 9 September in its 30th edition in the city of Kielce, southeastern Poland, with the participation of 26 Turkish companies.

The exhibition provides the participating companies with an opportunity to introduce the stakeholders to their products, especially as it attracts high-ranking officials from different countries around the world.
