Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan left the country on Tuesday for Bosnia and Herzegovina, the first stop on his planned Balkan tour.

A number of officials were seen off by President Erdogan at Esenboga Airport in the capital, Ankara, led by his deputy, Fuat Oktay, and the governor of Ankara, Vasip Sahin.
Erdogan is accompanied on his visit by his wife, Emine Erdogan, Foreign Minister Mehmet Cavusoglu, Defense Minister Hulusi Akar and Trade Minister Mehmet Muş.
The delegation also includes head of the Communications Department at the Presidency of the Republic, Fakhruddin Altoun, presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin, head of the Defense Industries Authority, Ismail Demir, and a number of ministers.
Erdogan’s tour will last for 3 days, starting from September 6 to September 8, according to the Turkish Presidency Communication Department.

During his meetings with the leaders of the mentioned countries, the Turkish President is scheduled to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations.
Views will also be exchanged on developments in the Balkans and some international issues.
