On Thursday, the Turkish Ministry of the Interior announced that a PKK terrorist had surrendered to the security forces after escaping from northern Iraq.

A statement issued by the ministry stated that as a result of persuasion efforts carried out by the General Command of the Gendarmerie and the General Directorate of Security, a terrorist escaped from the “PKK” and surrendered to the security forces.
The statement added that the terrorist was active in the ranks of the organization in Iraq.

The statement indicated that the number of terrorists who surrendered themselves to the Turkish security forces by means of persuasion since the beginning of this year has reached 74.
