The Turkish Foreign Ministry expressed its readiness to provide all kinds of support to Ethiopia and to support efforts to maintain peace and stability in it.

The ministry said in a statement Thursday that it had received news of the resumption of the conflict in Ethiopia despite the unlimited humanitarian ceasefire announced by the federal government on March 24, “with great sadness and concern.”
The Turkish Foreign Ministry called on the parties in Ethiopia to end the permanent violence in the country and return to dialogue to bring peace and stability.
It affirmed its readiness to provide all kinds of support to Ethiopia and to support efforts to maintain peace and stability in it.
For the first time in about a year, the Ethiopian government and the Tigray People’s Liberation Front announced on Wednesday the renewal of fighting between them in the region.

The Tigray conflict began in November 2020 when Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed sent federal forces into the region to control local authorities emanating from the Tigray Front after they were accused of attacking army barracks.
The conflict has killed thousands of people in this African country.
