Erdogan thanks his Polish counterpart

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan thanked his Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda for the facilities he provided for his trip to Ukraine on Thursday evening.

This came in a telephone conversation between them on Thursday, according to a statement issued by the Presidency of the Communication Department in the Turkish Presidency.

Erdogan expressed his hope that the meetings he held today with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky and United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will contribute positively to the peace process in Ukraine.

For his part, Duda thanked his Turkish counterpart for his constructive efforts to resolve the Russian-Ukrainian crisis and his endeavors in an agreement to export Ukrainian grain to world markets.

Duda also invited the Turkish president to make an official visit to Poland.

Earlier on Thursday, President Erdogan held a tripartite summit with Zelensky and Guterres at the Potochki Palace in the Ukrainian city of Lviv to discuss developments in the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia
