Turkey’s auto industry has grown by 2 percent during the first half of this year.
According to a statement by the Automobile Manufacturers Association of Turkey, the period between January and June 2022 witnessed the manufacture of 649,311 cars.

During the mentioned period, the production of commercial vehicles increased by 19 percent to 266,364 vehicles.
As for heavy commercial vehicles, its industry witnessed a growth of 26 percent, while the increase was 18 percent in light commercial vehicles.
In a related context, the share of the automotive sector in total Turkish exports reached 12.1 percent.

Turkish car exports grew by 1.2 percent during the first half of this year, compared to the same period in 2021.
