The Turkish authorities have seized 38,158 antique coins in the state of Hatay, in the south of the country.

When inspecting a motorcyclist in the Bahceli Evler neighborhood in the state, the Security Directorate teams found a number of antique coins.
She added that as a result of the search in the suspect’s house, 138,158 antique coins were found, believed to date back to the Roman Empire era.

The teams confiscated the antiquities and arrested the suspect.
