Anatolia obtains footage the killing of a Turkish man by French police

Anadolu Agency obtained scenes documenting the death of Turkish citizen Merter Keskin in a French prison, as a result of police violence.

The 35-year-old was arrested by the French police in January 2021 in the city of Célestat, eastern France, due to domestic violence.

In the scenes, it appears how the French police pressed the back of a knife after it was thrown to the ground and died as a result of shortness of breath.

The report of the forensic doctor who performed the autopsy on Keskin’s body stated that the latter died of shortness of breath, and that there was no trace on his body indicating that he was trying to defend himself.

The report also stated that Keskin sustained bruises to his head, neck and arms, and that he died of cardiac arrest.
