Turkish Foreign Minister mevlüt çavuşoğlu said that his country considers Colombia a special partner.
This came in an article published by the Colombian newspaper “El Tiempo” on Wednesday, written by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, coinciding with his tour of Latin America.

Çavuşoğlu’s article was titled: “The Turkish-Colombian Partnership: From Equality-Based Bilateral Cooperation to Global Consolidation for a Fairer World”.
The Turkish minister referred to the start of diplomatic relations between his country and Colombia 64 years ago, following the signing of the friendship agreement.
He explained that the relations between the two countries are based on intimacy, equality and respect for sovereignty, stressing that strengthening cooperation between them on international issues will contribute significantly to achieving a more just world.
Çavuşoğlu stressed that Colombia has a central position for Turkish institutions active in the region.

In a continuous context, Turkish Foreign Minister Oglu said that developing relations with Latin American countries is a priority for Ankara.
He stated that Turkey’s foreign policies are based on initiatives and a humanitarian approach.
