The Head of Religious Affairs in Turkey, Ali Erbas, condemned the Israeli attacks on worshipers in Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem and against the Palestinians in various cities.

This came in a tweet on Twitter on Saturday about the Israeli security forces’ storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the attacks in various Palestinian cities.
Erbash wished God’s mercy for the Palestinians who lost their lives during the attacks, and a speedy recovery for the injured.
He added: “I strongly condemn the continuous attacks by Israel against worshipers in Al-Aqsa Mosque, the first qiblah for believers, and in various Palestinian cities.”
He pointed out that “Israel escalates its attacks against Muslims during Ramadan in particular and prevents freedom of worship, and undoubtedly targets the entire Islamic world and the universal values of humanity.”

He stressed that “Israel’s attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque and its policies based on threats and provocations with the aim of seizing the places of residence of Muslims cannot be accepted.”
On Friday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the recent killing of 7 Palestinians by the Israeli security forces in different cities and the wounding of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
On Friday, the Israeli police stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque while the worshipers were present, injuring dozens of Palestinians inside and arresting hundreds.

For days, tension has prevailed in the city of Jerusalem and the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, in light of calls by Israeli settlers and Jewish “temple groups” to storm Al-Aqsa coinciding with the Jewish Passover holiday.
