The International Court of Justice in The Hague on Tuesday announced provisional measures in cases of “racial discrimination”.
The Wally originated between Azerbaijan and Armenia, where Yerevan advocated the prevention of racial discrimination against Azerbaijanis.

The International Court of Justice issued decisions on mutual interim measures in cases between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
This is in connection with the violation of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.
In its decision on the case brought by Azerbaijan, the Court stated that some actions taken by Armenia against Azerbaijanis violate various articles of the Convention on Racial Discrimination.
The court took into account the request of the Azerbaijani delegation, which drew attention to threats, insults and smear campaigns.

which were carried out against Azerbaijanis on social media, and demanded that Armenia not discriminate against Azerbaijanis on the basis of ethnicity.
The resolution stated that Armenia should prevent Armenians from committing hate crimes against Azerbaijanis.
In its decision against the backdrop of Armenia’s allegations, the court demanded that Azerbaijan guarantee the safety of Armenian prisoners of war, prevent discrimination against prisoners, and protect the relics of Armenian culture.
The court called on the two countries to refrain from escalating the conflict between them, while it did not issue a ruling regarding Armenia’s continued laying of mines in Nagorno-Karabakh despite the ceasefire.

The lawsuits of the two countries include crimes of racial discrimination, hate speech and discriminatory treatment that emerged during the liberation of Nagorno-Karabakh from the occupation of Armenia and onwards.
