Facebook announces a change in its advertising policy

Social media giant Facebook will not allow ads based on “sensitive” topics.

Race, religion, health, and political thought are included among these sensitive issues, and the regulation will enter into force on January 19, 2022.

The company, which recently changed its name to Meta, has introduced categories that will no longer be allowed.

She also cited examples such as “lung cancer awareness”, “World Diabetes Day”, and “Jewish holidays”.

Advertisers can reach target audiences thanks to “information about users’ interests” available on Facebook.

However, ads can cause users to be alienated as well as influence them.

With the change to be made, the Facebook app will no longer give advertisers any sensitive issues it identified.
