Erdogan arrives in Sochi, Russia, to meet Putin

On Wednesday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Sochi to meet with his Russian counterpart, President Vladimir Putin.

Erdogan was received at Sochi International Airport by the deputy governor of the Krasnodar region, Alexander Rupel.

Sochi Mayor Alexei Kobaygorodsky and Director of the Official Protocol Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry Igor Bogdashev attended.

In addition to Turkey’s ambassador to Moscow, Mehmet Samir, and its consul in Novorossiysk, Firat Bayar.

Erdogan is accompanied on his visit by the head of the Turkish intelligence service, Hakan Fidan, the head of the Turkish presidency’s communications department, Fahrettin Altun, and the presidential spokesman, Ibrahim Kalin.
