On Thursday, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu discussed with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and Foreign Minister Hanif Atmar the lasting peace efforts in Afghanistan.

Çavuşoğlu’s meeting with Ghani and Atmar comes on the sidelines of their participation in an international conference entitled “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity, Challenges, and Opportunities” in the Uzbek capital Tashkent.
In a tweet on Twitter, Çavuşoğlu said: “We discussed efforts for lasting peace (in Afghanistan),” and stressed that his country will continue to support the friendly and brotherly Afghanistan.
In another tweet, Çavuşoğlu stated that he had a fruitful meeting with the First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Nikolai Nabokov.
In this regard, he said, “We will develop our relations (with Belarus) on the basis of mutual benefit.”
