Montenegrin Foreign Minister Đorđe Radulović assessed the relations between Turkey and Montenegro at the Belek Tourist Center in Antalya.
He was on the occasion of meeting foreign ministers of the Southeast European Cooperation Process (SEECP) and Antalya Diplomacy Forum.

Noting that Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu did a great job in organizing the ADF, Radulović said, “I think from now on (ADF) it will be one of Turkey’s special works.”
Radulović said that he met with Çavuşoğlu in Antalya, and they signed a memorandum of understanding between the two countries on protocol issues.
He said that whenever the two colleagues meet, they discuss all issues in a friendly manner in the direction of the two countries’ common interests.
Minister Radulović said that his recent meeting with Çavuşoğlu added value to the relations.
“For us, Turkey is a friend, ally, and a very important partner in many areas from the economy, tourism, health, and military issues to education,” he said.

“ADF will be a starting point for better collaboration”
Radulović stressed that regional cooperation is one of the main priorities of his country’s foreign policy, and said that the development and strengthening of regional cooperation were discussed at the SEECP meeting held yesterday.
Đorđe Radulović noted the importance of the meeting in establishing close relations for the well-being and interests of citizens and expressed his happiness to join the ADF.
“(ADF) will be a starting point for the development of cooperation between the two countries and at the international level, and it will be a place where we can develop more friendly relations between our countries and our peoples.”
Radulović noted that the fifteenth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Montenegro.
“I had the honor to celebrate this little anniversary with Mr. Çavuşoğlu yesterday, and the memorandum of understanding signed yesterday between the two countries is a sign of our sincere and sincere interest in friendship.”

“We cannot thank Turkey enough”
Minister Radulović gave an example of solidarity between the two countries, the process of the Coronavirus epidemic, and stated that Turkey, as a good friend, provided medical supplies to his country in the face of this epidemic that affected the world.
“Friends are visible in the dark, and Turkey has shown its friendship by providing us with medical support when we need it most, even though it has also been affected by the pandemic,” Radulović said.
Radulović said that Turkey and Montenegro are on the ground side by side in NATO. “We cannot thank Turkey enough for its support in the NATO accession process,” as he said.
“We hope that the number of tourists coming to Montenegro from Turkey will increase”

Radulović said that they have received the results of quarantine and vaccination practices, “We continue to purchase vaccines to provide a safe environment for foreign tourists.
In 2019, the number of tourists coming to Montenegro from Turkey was 40,000, we hope this number will increase.
Turkey is a beautiful country, but “my humble opinion is that Montenegro is more beautiful. With all due respect, I invite you to my country and see that I am right.”
“We would like to see more Turkish companies”
Minister Radulović expressed his gratitude to the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) in Montenegro since 2007.
And they are grateful to TIKA for this reason, “YEE has also done great things.
My friends go to YEE to learn Turkish, one or two of my 10 friends speak Turkish.”

Radulović noted that the two countries have many opportunities to deepen their cooperation in the field of economy, and said that they aim to reach the goals before the outbreak of the epidemic in this field.
Montenegro Foreign Minister Radulović said: “I think we are on the right track, there are many Turkish companies in Montenegro.
We would like to attract the attention of more investors, economic diplomacy is very important for countries that want to recover after the pandemic, we would like to see more Turkish companies.”
