Coast Guard teams have rescued 42 asylum seekers who were on board a boat that was towed due to an engine failure in Ayvalik, Balıkesir.

According to the statement issued by the Coast Guard Command, a Coast Guard boat was directed to the area after the rubber boat carrying refugees drifted off the coast of Ayvalik due to an engine failure, and a request for help was made.
42 refugees were also brought on board, and the crew rescued them ashore.
It was learned that the asylum seekers will be handed over to the Regional Directorate of Migration Management after the procedures.
