Washington hosts the US-Egypt strategic dialogue round

The US State Department announced Thursday that Secretary Anthony Blinken is receiving his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry.

In addition to the delegation accompanying him in Washington, DC, on November 8 and 9, with the aim of holding the strategic dialogue between the two countries.

The ministry said in a statement published on its website that “it is scheduled at the opening of the strategic dialogue between the two countries to discuss international and regional issues.”

In addition to human rights and bilateral cooperation in economic, judicial, security, educational, and cultural issues.

Senior officials from the US Agency for International Development and the US Department of Defense will participate in the strategic dialogue between the two countries, and the meeting will be followed by statements by the two foreign ministers, according to the same statement.

The US State Department expressed its commitment to strengthening the 40-year-old partnership between the United States and Egypt.

This is done by strengthening security cooperation, observing human rights, and developing economic and cultural relations.

The statement concluded by saying that “the aforementioned strategic dialogue represents an opportunity to advance all areas of cooperation with the aim of improving the lives of both Americans and Egyptians.”
