The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced the killing of more than 180 children in the Gaza Strip in a single day due to Israel’s resumption of its genocidal war.
The agency called, via a post on its X account, for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
It stated: “In Gaza, more than 180 children were reportedly killed in one day, and if the ceasefire is not restored, the death toll will continue to rise.”
Nearly 18,000 children, including more than 1,000 infants, have been killed in the genocide perpetrated by Israel since October 7, 2023, in Gaza.
Since resuming its genocide in Gaza on March 18, Israel has killed 830 Palestinians and injured 1,787 others, according to the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, as of Wednesday. With unequivocal American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 164,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 14,000 missing.
Israel has been blockading Gaza for the 18th year, and approximately 1.5 million of its 2.4 million Palestinian citizens have been rendered homeless after the war of extermination destroyed their homes. The Strip has entered the first stages of famine due to Tel Aviv’s closure of the crossings to humanitarian aid.
