After the Chinese-origin TikTok app was closed in the United States on January 19, it was reopened on the same day and US President Donald Trump postponed the ban on the app for 75 days by decree yesterday, putting the ban back on the agenda in the United States.

While the political conflict between the United States and China is increasing day by day, moves in the field of technology have become one of the important pillars of tension between the two countries.

In one of the most important developments in the technological conflict between the two countries during Trump’s first term as president, the Chinese TikTok app was closed and opened on the same day, after which US President Donald Trump postponed the ban on TikTok for 75 days by decree yesterday.

While there is still uncertainty about whether TikTok, which has more than 170 million users in the United States, will be banned again in the future.

It is also worth noting that many Americans have switched to RedNote, another Chinese app, since last week.

On the other hand, in China, there has been a ban, especially on the use of digital technology companies based in the United States.

Social media platforms such as Google, YouTube, WhatsApp, Instagram, X and Facebook are not accessible in China.
