The National Institute of Geophysics in Morocco announced on Sunday that two earthquakes measuring 4.3 and 3.8 on the Richter scale had been recorded in Al Hoceima province, in the north of the country.
This came in a statement by the (governmental) institute, a copy of which was seen.
The institute said that a first earthquake measuring 4.3 degrees was recorded in the Rif al-Nakour region of the Al Hoceima province, which occurred at 6:59 GMT.
He added that the second tremor had a magnitude of 3.8 and occurred in the Imrabatan area of the same region at 8:36 GMT.
